We asked Bill Lingenfelser, Owner of Preferred Pet Salon in Springfield and Preferred Pet Supply in Monett, a few questions!

Q: Tell us about your/company background.
I worked for PetsMart for 5 years while attending Drury University. I left and became a CPA for several years before getting back into the pet business. I realized my passion was in the pet industry, not counting beans in a suit and tie.

Q: What is your inspiration?
I love serving pets!

Q: What unique services do you offer customers?
We offer grooming 7 days a week. We offer obedience classes and private training sessions as well.

Q: What other ways do you differ from other businesses?
We offer delivery service on dog and cat food and we pick up and deliver grooming dogs as well.

Q: Do you have any new products you are excited about?
We recently expanded our lines of premium dog and cat foods. We now sell NutriSource, Wellness, Nutro, Royal Canin, Science Diet, Premium Edge and Diamond Naturals.

Q: What do first time visitors to your store say about Preferred Pet?
They are impressed with how professional and friendly our staff treats them. They often comment on how clean the store stays.

Q: Tell us about Preferred Pet customers.
Our customers that want the very best for their dog or cat. Not just in nutrition but grooming and training services. Our customers are "pet parents" not just a pet owner.

Q: Any discounts or promotions going on right now at Preferred Pet?
We are offering $5.00 off of your first grooming appointment to any new customers.

Q: What is the funniest thing a customer has ever said to you?
We had a customer admit to us that she thought the name of our Springfield store was Preferred Pet Saloon not Salon. I assured her that we do not sell alcohol to dogs. (too funny!)
