PotBellied Pigs

POTBELLIED PIGS...they aren't your average pet but their charming demeanor and overwhelming intelligence is winning the hearts of many animal lovers. With much love and the proper training a potbellied pig can become an adored addition to your family.

Just like any other type of pet, there are pros and cons to owning a potbellied pig. They require much time and commitment, but their loving, friendly personality is worth the time invested. TAME has compiled some interesting information to help you decide if these cute little piglets are right for you!

Who can own a potbellied pig?

Some areas consider potbellied pigs as ‘swine' or farm animals and do not allow people to have them as pets. If you are considering getting a PBP, be sure to check your area's regulations. Luckily, Section 14-13 of the Springfield Animal Control Ordinances, states that potbellied pigs are allowed in the Springfield city limits as pets!
