Pet friendly living abounds in our area. We have parks, pet stores, and year round activities you can do with your family and pets. We think that makes the Ozarks a great place to live and vacation. Here are just a few expected and unexpected places we've found that love pets as much as you do!

Dining Out
Did you know that certain area restaurants will allow pets to dine with you on their patio? Two of our favorite places to go with our pets are Mille's and Springfield Brewing Company. Both of these restaurants are in downtown Springfield and have lots of outside seating. It's a treat for them and fun for you too!

Shopping
Many local stores allow pets to shop with you. Some even have pets working for them! A couple of our favorite pet friendly stores are the Bookmark and Ridge Runner Sports. Phoebe at Bookmark is always happy to see you and everyday at Ridge Runner's you can meet a different member of their pet family! Other places you might find pets around are Springfield Stamp and Engraving, Linda's Flowers and Wild Birds Unlimited.

Seeing the Sights
It's fun to experience new places with your pet. We found some places to go that will allow your pets to join in on the fun. Check out Oovvda Winery, they have several areas for picnics or for just hanging out. Fantastic Caverns is a great outdoor adventure with trails and a large lawn to play in. Also, Dear's Rest Bed and Breakfast boasts walking trails to explore along with Bull Creek. No Matter where you head you will be sure to create some great memories with your pet.

Playing Outside
Need a little fresh air? Head outside! There are many trails and parks in Southwest Missouri for you to bring your pet for some exercise. Our picks are Cruse Dog Park where your dog can go unleashed (don't worry they have separated areas for small and big dogs) and Volunteer Trail. Be sure to bring plenty of water for you and your pet.

Attending Events
SW Missouri is quickly becoming a popular place for pet friendly events. Every year people flock to Dogfest and the Dog Swim. We also highly recommend Bark in the Park (June) at the Springfield Cardinals' stadium and a new favorite Pets and Pumpkins (October) which is a Halloween event for families and their pets.
